Hixon Millennium Green The Venue for Community Events

A Safe Place to Play and Enjoy

Hixon Millennium Green Trust is a Registered Charity (No (1073477). The Trust is managed by unpaid volunteer Trustees.
Hixon Millennium Green was opened on January 1st 2000 as part of a nationwide network of Millennium Greens that are protected open spaces for 1,000 years. Trustees are charged with the responsibility of maintaining the Green for public use and community events.

What We Do

Hixon Millennium Green is situated at the heart of the village of Hixon in Staffordshire. The Green is mainly grass and is an ideal venue for community events. Each year Trustees organise a village fete to raise funds towards maintenance costs. Other events include big screen cinema evenings, Easter Egg hunts and national celebrations.

Environment & Ecology

Families & Children

Hixon Millennium Green is a cherished community facility, providing a safe place for children and families to play or picnic. The children's play area has equipment for young children, while the large area of grass is suitable for informal games.

A number of fund-raising community events are held on the Green to entertain both children and adults. The annual summer village fete on the Green is major date in the village events calendar.
